DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: The incidence of this cyst in the head and neck regions is low, occurring in only about 2 % of all dermoid cysts. The diagnosis is established through clinical and histopathologic exams, and its treatment is surgical excision as early as possible. The authors report here the case of a patient who developed a dermoid cyst and emphasize the clinical exam, treatment and follow up features of this case.
